Where can I find well-fitting polo shirts for very tall men?
My boyfriend is 6'6" with an athletic/lean build. It seems like every shirt he owns it too big around the belly. He buys shirts to fit for length, but they end up being baggy (since the shirts are generally made for shorter, heavier men). I'd like to get him some well-fitting shirts for Christmas, but I haven't the slightest idea where to go. Any help is greatly appreciated.
That is often a problem for tall people as the industry does not cater for that kind of build. There are a couple of places that have more "fitted" versions which should help. Banana Republic have a men big & tall section but they only offer T shirts. A designer that does good fitted Polo's is J Lindeberg, they are a Scandinavian company and sell in a number of department stores. Otherwise you can buy online at Asos.
I run a polo shirt brand (Patrice Wheeler) and can say that a couple of my tall friends (both 6'5") found them a good fit. Our Polo shirts are fitted and our X Large shirts should work for your boyfriend. If you have any issues with your order we will refund you, no quibbles.
